Duolingo

Football is the world’s most passionate and universal sport. It’s played, watched, and celebrated in over 200 countries, each with its own language, culture, and way of talking about the game. FIFA unites 3.5 billion fans, speaking hundreds of languages; from Spanish in Argentina to Arabic in Morocco, Portuguese in Brazil, and Korean in South Korea.

But let’s be real, football isn’t just about the game. It’s about the fans, the chants, the trash talk, and the pure joy of celebrating (or rubbing it in) when your team wins.

That’s where Duolingo comes in. Whether you're trying to understand a French commentator’s analysis, an Italian coach screaming tactics, or a German fan telling you your team has no defense, we make sure you’re never lost in translation.

Football isn’t just played in every language, it’s argued, celebrated, and roasted in every language, too.

Welcome to "One Game. Every Language."

A Conceptual Campaign for Duolingo x FIFA.

Manifesto

Football isn’t just a sport—it’s a conversation.

It’s the stadium chants that echo across continents. The debates that spill into the streets. The perfectly timed banter between rival fans. But when the world’s biggest game is played in hundreds of languages, too many fans are left on the sidelines of the conversation.

That’s where Duolingo changes the game. We’re here to make sure every fan can sing, cheer, argue, and celebrate; no subtitles needed. Whether it’s learning what English fans mean when they say your team is “bottling it”, or finally understanding what your favorite Brazilian striker yells after a goal, Duolingo makes football’s language barriers disappear.

Because football isn’t just played in every language—it’s felt, debated, and celebrated in every language, too. And every fan deserves to be part of it.

One Game. Every Language.
