Surprise Soup
Surprise Soup is a Colorado-based Midwest emo band, which basically means they shred sad songs with intricate guitar riffs reflecting deep emotions. I went to high school with Sean (lead singer/guitarist), and I shot and edited a lot of their media, including the cover for one of their singles, “Soup 1 (The Roxy)”! Through them, I’ve gotten deep into Colorado’s DIY concert scene, and it’s been a wild ride.
The Grave
The Grave (AKA Garage Rave) is a Colorado-based underground event collective, built by artists who love music and throw down hard. What started as a small gathering has grown into THE collective for underground techno in Colorado.
